Amorim Nature Infills
Cork-based infill solutions engineered for high performance and elasticityAmorim Sports' Nature infills is a 100% natural product of plant origin, ecological and recyclable, from a renewable raw material, as the cork oak bark extraction is part of their life cycle.
According to an independent study* using a PwC-developed carbon accounting tool, Amorim Sports' Nature infills contribute to a lower carbon footprint of sports surfaces with a negative carbon footprint of -72.5kg CO2e/kg. Incorporating these infills in artificial turf systems contributes significantly to climate-positive outcomes while enhancing player comfort, stabilizing surface temperature, and increasing the longevity of sports surfaces.
Amorim Nature high-performance cork infill is made exclusively from top-quality, sustainable material, offering exceptional resistance and long-lasting durability. Virtually unchanged over time, it delivers consistent performance even under heavy use. Thanks to cork’s natural membrane flexibility, the cells in Amorim Nature act as microscopic air cushions, regaining their shape after compression. This unique structure provides outstanding shock absorption, meeting and exceeding industry standards for both immediate and long-term player safety.
*The study was based on a tool specifically developed by PwC – PricewaterhouseCoopers, which makes it possible to estimate the Carbon Footprint associated to granules produced from cork and cork waste, from the management phase of the cork oak forest, transport of these raw materials, processing and packaging, to the factory gate, using the Cradle-to-Gate approach (which does not include transport, application or end-of-life destination).

Cork infills ensure performance naturally
Amorim Nature infills’ main goals are to allow functional suitability, a balance between cost-effectiveness and environmental compatibility, material durability, and multifunctionality.
Benefits
-
Technical Performance
Exceptional shock absorption:
Cork's natural cellular structure acts as microscopic air cushions, absorbing energy and protecting athletes from injury.Outstanding elasticity and durability:
Cork granules compress and rebound without permanent deformation, maintaining surface integrity over time.Reduced surface temperature:
Low thermal conductivity helps maintain cooler playing surfaces, enhancing comfort and safety.Provides essential pile support:
Maintains the stability and performance of the turf system throughout its lifespan.Decay resistant:
Ensures long-term reliability even under intense usage and varying climate conditions.Flame-retardant properties:
Contributes to safer sports and leisure environments. -
Sustainability
100% Natural, renewable, and fully recyclable:
A material rooted in sustainability from forest to field.Carbon negative:
Independent LCA confirms Nature infills actively reduce environmental impact by storing more CO₂ than they emit over their life cycle.Neutral odor and non-toxic:
Completely free of chemical contamination, in full compliance with REACH regulations. Safe for direct human contact, making them ideal for sports and leisure environments.Certifications & Quality Assurance:
Externally monitored under RAL Quality Mark (GZ 944), complying with DIN‑EN 15330‑1 and embodying stringent RAL standards for consistency and environmental integrityFIFA compliance:
Regularly meets FIFA Quality Program requirements to the highest classes, with multiple certified projects worldwide.
To be certified with the RAL quality mark means that:
- Amorim Sports cork infills and production processes are thereby externally monitored, without any prior notice, by an independent quality community and checked for their consistency and uniformity;
- Amorim Sports cork infills comply with DIN-EN 15330-1;
- Amorim Sports cork infills comply with and are tested according to RAL-GZ 944 requirements;
- Amorim Sports cork infills are environmentally friendly (in compliance with all the RAL highly stringent requirements).
RAL Gütezeichen (Quality Marks) differ from other labels because the RAL quality assurance system guarantees that they are neutral and objective. In addition, the Quality Assurance Associations regularly check the Quality Assurance and Test Specifications and adapt them when necessary to new requirements and thereby keep the regulations up-to-date. RAL Gütezeichen (Quality Marks) are thus an independent, objective validation for quality assurance, which represent a consistently monitored level of quality.
